About the Extension
In online shops with bulky and heavy products, freight costs are the deciding factor in whether your customers buy. The transparent display of the total weight of all items in the shopping cart is therefore helpful for your customers to keep an eye on shipping costs from the outset and saves you as the shop operator unnecessary discussions about excessive freight costs.
The BasketWeight plugin is the solution for this. It automatically adds up the weights of the individual items in the shopping cart to create a total weight and displays this in the shopping cart and in the off-canvas shopping cart.
The prerequisite for proper functionality is that the item weight (including product variants, such as different sizes) is accurately maintained in the item master data. It is up to you whether you specify the weight with or without packaging. If no value is stored for an item, it will be calculated at 0 kg.

Compatibility
If the functionalities are not mutually exclusive, we can ensure that this plugin is compatible with all of our own plugins. Compatibility with third-party plugins, for which For example, we cannot guarantee that Shopware's premium plugins count. If there are any problems, our support will be happy to help you. Of course, we keep our plugins compatible with a new Shopware version. Here we refer to the Shopware Community Edition with Standard Responsive Theme.
