Offer your customers a top up store credit account
Do you want to give your customers a credit account that works as easily as a bank account? With Prepaid, you maintain store credit that is topped up with any amount in advance and applied directly to the shopping cart at checkout. The credit does not replace a classic payment method, it complements it and reduces the amount due. This is especially valuable when customers shop regularly and their spending should come from a fixed budget. You also strengthen loyalty to your existing customers.
Credit is not a voucher
Credit and vouchers are often confused, but they work in fundamentally different ways. A voucher usually has a fixed value and creates effort for generating and managing codes. A credit account, on the other hand, can be topped up flexibly with any amount and redeemed as needed. You can, for example, book a credit as a birthday gift without your customer having to redeem anything.
How the credit is applied
The credit is applied directly to the cart total at checkout and lowers the outstanding amount. Your customers decide for themselves how much of their credit they want to use. An example: if there are 50 euros in the cart and 20 euros of credit are available, your customers apply the full 20 euros and pay the remaining 30 euros with a familiar payment method such as PayPal or credit card, or they use only part of their credit. If the credit applied covers the entire cart, no further payment is needed. On request, existing credit is redeemed automatically in the cart, with no extra step at checkout.
Full control in the administration
You assign or deduct credit in the administration with just a few clicks. Every booking is clearly traceable in the customer account and in the administration, supplemented by internal comments and customer comments where needed. A statistic shows you the total balances of all credit at a glance, so you always keep your open liabilities under control. With numerous Rulebuilder conditions, you also define when and for whom credit is available, for example depending on customer group or cart. An automatic log cleanup removes old entries after a lifetime you define and keeps your data tidy.
Examples of use
Practical for returns
For returns, the credit account shows its strength: instead of paying out the amount, you credit it to the customer. The turnover stays in your store and the customer shops with you again right away.
Ideal for employees
Would you like to grant your employees tax reduced benefits in kind in addition to their salary? Simply load the amount onto the employee accounts each month. Your employees then redeem their credit in the company store, for example.
B2B customers with a budget
For business customers, you set a fixed budget per account and make sure the limit is not exceeded. Spending stays controllable while your customers continue to place their orders quickly and independently.

Compatibility
Our extension is generally compatible with all our own extensions, provided that the respective functionalities do not conflict with each other.
For third-party extensions, including Shopware’s premium extensions, we cannot guarantee unrestricted compatibility. Should any issues arise in this context, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Naturally, when new Shopware versions are released, we ensure that our extension is made compatible with them in a timely manner.

- You have studied the manual in advance, as it already contains many helpful pieces of information
In most cases, it is necessary for us to have unrestricted access to your shop’s administration in order to analyze and fix the problem. Additionally, it may be required for you to provide us with FTP or ideally SSH credentials for your server. Please note that setting up and later removing these accesses is your responsibility.
For a smooth troubleshooting process, we recommend conducting support in a staging or development environment. This allows issues to be reproduced under controlled conditions without affecting your live shop.
