About the Extension

With CmsTools you can immediately see in the category layout whether there are any discrepancies between the content elements of the assigned experience world and the content elements in the category.

No more confusion with experience world and category content!

As soon as an experience world has been assigned to a category, the editor can change the content directly in the category. A copy of the respective element is created and the content of the original element is not changed. As soon as several editors work together, this often leads to major problems, as content can differ greatly between the category and the experience world and changed content from the experience world has to be copied back and forth into the category.
Especially when several editors enter content in a shop, it can easily become confusing. At the same time, inexperienced users are often not aware of this problem, so they are surprised when content in the experience worlds is not displayed as desired because the element has already been overwritten in the category.

Easily compare and correct content

With CmsTools, discrepancies between the content stored in the experience worlds and the categories are immediately displayed. If necessary, the original content of the content element can be restored from the experience world.

Disable editing in the categories if necessary

To avoid confusion, it may make sense to only allow content to be edited directly in the experience worlds. That's why you can easily deactivate the editing of the content in the categories in the layout at any time using CmsTools via the plugin configuration. The plugin helps you prevent confusion with the content and saves you time when editing.

Compatibility

Our extension is generally compatible with all our own extensions, provided that the respective functionalities do not conflict with each other.
For third-party extensions, including Shopware’s premium extensions, we cannot guarantee unrestricted compatibility. Should any issues arise in this context, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Naturally, when new Shopware versions are released, we ensure that our extension is made compatible with them in a timely manner.
Please note that our statements refer to the Shopware Community Edition with the standard responsive theme.

Do you need assistance? Our support team is at your disposal in both German and English.

To process your request as quickly as possible, please ensure that:

• The latest version of our extension, compatible with your Shopware version, is installed
• You have a valid rental or subscription license
• The issue also occurs in the Shopware standard theme and with all third-party extensions deactivated
• No changes have been made by you or third parties to the plugin code
• You have studied the manual in advance, as it already contains many helpful pieces of information

In most cases, it is necessary for us to have unrestricted access to your shop’s administration in order to analyze and fix the problem. Additionally, it may be required for you to provide us with FTP or ideally SSH credentials for your server. Please note that setting up and later removing these accesses is your responsibility.

For a smooth troubleshooting process, we recommend conducting support in a staging or development environment. This allows issues to be reproduced under controlled conditions without affecting your live shop.
