About the Extension

Make ordering even more flexible for your customers: With FlexSize, your customers can now also order yard goods, e.g. fabrics or other products in different sizes and measurement units according to their wishes!

Not all products can be sold in pre-determined individual quantities. For example, fabrics, cloths, cords, ropes or cables are often required by customers in a specific length. The plugin helps you to make it easy for your customers to order your products in individual units of measurement, such as length!

Specify order dimensions and input steps.

It is important for customers to know which order dimensions are available to them and in which intermediate steps they can order, for example in decimetre steps for fabrics. You set the values for minimum and maximum order dimensions and the input steps in a way that best suits your products individually. You can even limit the maximum sales dimension individually and adjust it to your current stock.

Order dimensions that your customers understand!

Stock calculations are sometimes made in delivery units that your customers can't understand. With FlexSize you can define customer-friendly size units - independent of the units used for stock calculation. FlexSize automatically performs conversions between order quantities and stock levels in the background.
By the way: The quantity selection can also be configured per product, so that a customer can, for example, order 2 metres of a product 10 times if he wants to.

More flexibility: Now specifications in decimal sizes are also possible!

The Shopware stock field only allows whole number entries. With FlexSize you can also enter the stock in decimal numbers. This gives you more flexibility for management and the plugin independently converts the different units of measurement, for example metres to decimetres and rounds up or down depending on the configuration.

Flexible calculation with conversion factor - an example:

• There is a roll of 30 decimetres of rope in the warehouse. In the Shopware stock field 30 are entered.
• The product price refers to one metre.
• In order to display the price per metre in the frontend, the unit metre is assigned to the product in Shopware.
• The conversion factor from decimetre to metre (0.1) is now stored in FlexSize.
• The correct price and unit is displayed in the frontend.
• An order of 1 metre will also be correctly reduced by 10 decimetres from stock.

You see with FlexSize the units can vary between stock and output.

Easy assignment of configuration

As configuration is done per product, this can quickly become very time-consuming with many products. FlexSize makes life easier and saves a lot of time, because you don't need to store the specifications for the product configuration for each product individually, but you can simply transfer them to a Shopware product category and thus assign them to all products in this category with just one click. Or you can assign the specifications to your own dynamic product group. Here, too, the defaults are transferred directly to all products in the group.

Stock is always in view.

FlexSize also ensures that orders are matched with stock. The available stock is automatically updated immediately with each order and orders in excess of the available stock are avoided.
