Manual export of orders costs time and nerves
Sound familiar? The order is in the shop, the ERP is waiting for a file, and someone on the team pulls it by hand. Fields slip, the character set does not match, the dropshipping partner receives line items that are not theirs. A dedicated interface would be clean, but not every merchandise management system has one.
The standard lacks an export that starts by itself when something happens in the shop and builds the file the way your target system reads it.
Why the standard hits its limits here
Without event logic, the data flow stays piecemeal. Someone thinks of the export when there is time. Filenames are not unique. CSV, XML or JSON files are built in tools next to the shop. Webhooks to internal systems are missing. And if a run fails, you often notice only when merchandise management already complains.
You need a process that hangs on a Flow: triggered by an order, by payment, shipping, customer account or newsletter, with a file in your import format and a log you can follow.
How ExportOnEvent solves the problem
ExportOnEvent creates the export automatically as soon as the Flow action runs. You maintain profiles in the Administration, set header, content and footer via the variable tree, and deliver CSV, XML, TXT or JSON.
The file takes the path your process needs:
- by email as an attachment or directly in the mail body
- by FTP or SFTP onto the merchandise management server
- by webhook with GET, POST or PUT, optionally with username and password
- as a file in the local file system
You set filename and character set, including UTF-8, UTF-8 with BOM, ISO-8859-1 and ANSI. Preview, raw data and template test show what will go out before you go live. You can run the same action in the Flow against a test order.
For mixed baskets you filter line items with rules of type ExportOnEvent. Manufacturer A only receives their own goods, manufacturer B only theirs. If the templates are identical, you inherit the filter from the Flow action and save profiles. With the iteration path, for example over the line items of an order, the action runs once per element. You can add the index to the subject and the filename.
Example profiles are ready after installation. You adapt them, insert variables from the tree and link the profile to a Flow. Without that link the profile stays silent; you see this on the profile screen.
Benefits for your day to day work
The manual end of day export goes away. Orders, delivery status and registrations land in the same schema. The log module records how the run went. You delete log entries automatically after a lifetime you set in months.
That pays off if you want to connect ERP, dropshipping or internal tools without building a custom interface. CSV for classic merchandise management, JSON for webhooks, XML when the target system expects it.

ExportOnEvent is aimed at shop operators and agencies that need to hand over data based on events. Install it, pick an example profile, attach a Flow action and check the preview on a test order. If the file fits the ERP, the manual export is done.

Compatibility
Our extension is generally compatible with all our own extensions, provided that the respective functionalities do not conflict with each other.
For third-party extensions, including Shopware’s premium extensions, we cannot guarantee unrestricted compatibility. Should any issues arise in this context, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Naturally, when new Shopware versions are released, we ensure that our extension is made compatible with them in a timely manner.

In most cases, it is necessary for us to have unrestricted access to your shop’s administration in order to analyze and fix the problem. Additionally, it may be required for you to provide us with FTP or ideally SSH credentials for your server. Please note that setting up and later removing these accesses is your responsibility.
For a smooth troubleshooting process, we recommend conducting support in a staging or development environment. This allows issues to be reproduced under controlled conditions without affecting your live shop.
