About the Extension

For content marketing, announcements and all kinds of news/news, a blog is indispensable.

New: now with free blog detail page design, image gallery, custom fields, full SEO support, author assignment and other new features!

This app equips the missing blog component in Shopware 6. Any number of blog posts can be created in the backend, and of course multilingualism is supported. The blog can be integrated into any shopping experience layouts via a block. The highlight: the blog detail page can be freely designed via a CMS page!

A blog article consists of title, (optional) teaser, the content as well as an image and optionally an additional preview image. Furthermore, blog posts can be time-controlled (from - to) and SEO is also thought of (URL of the blog post, SEO title and SEO description). The SEO urls can be freely defined via the Shopware mechanisms.

Blog posts can be assigned to one or more categories as well as any number of tags, furthermore an author can be assigned.

A blog post can contain additional content, such as recipes, (craft) instructions or test reports.

An image gallery is available - any number of images from the media management can be assigned to a blog post and displayed as a lightbox gallery - of course responsive and with video support!

New: The display of blog posts can be restricted to a specific sales channel, a customer group or only for logged-in users.

Products can be assigned to a blog post, which are displayed in the detail view in the slider. Three different layouts (small / large image + slider) are available for the display both in the overview list and in the detail view.

Alternatively, the blog detail page can be designed using an individual CMS page (shopping experience). Simply create your own page, distribute the desired blog content and optionally add further CMS elements - done!

In addition, a free text field is available for any use. You can address the content in your own derived template.

An RSS feed as well as rich snippets have also been thought of: these are output in the form of JSON-LD on the blog detail page - perfect for search engines, of course the Shopware sitemap is also filled with the blog posts and blog posts can also be found in the administration via the global backend search.

Furthermore, the custom fields of Shopware are supported. So any individual additional fields for blog posts, blog categories and authors can be defined.

Optionally, a search extension in the frontend is available via an additional app (see below), as well as a privacy-compliant integration of social media icons for the popular social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Dieses Plugin bietet alle Funktionen die wir uns nur hätten erträumen können. Alles ist konfigurierbar bis ins kleinste Detail – sogar Listing- und Detailseite sind selbst zusammenstellbar als Erlebniswelt mit allen Einzel-Elementen. Für Profi-User besteht sogar die Möglichkeit eigene Twig-Templates zu nutzen. So haben wir im Handumdrehen unseren alten Blog ersetzt – ohne dass visuell große Abweichungen zum vorherigen Stand erkennbar wären. Hier wurde erst nachgedacht und geplant, und anschließend entwickelt – und das merkt man. Vielen Dank für dieses tolle Plugin!

Der Name ist Programm! Nach vielen Tests anderer Plugins, ist dieses der klare Gewinner. Intuitiv und individuell konfigurierbar. Zudem wunderbar in die Erlebniswelten zu integrieren. Die Sortierbarkeit über Kategorien und Tags ist genial. Meine absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Der Blog ist sehr umfangreich und es wird anscheinend auch noch weiterentwickelt. Es kommen immer mal wieder neue Funktionen hinzu. Daher ist dieses Plugin sehr zu empfehlen.
Wir haben einen kleinen Fehler entdeckt und den Support angeschrieben. Kurze Zeit später kam auch schon die Antwort mit einem Update. Besser geht es kaum.

Wir haben die Erweiterung nun bereits 7 Monate im Einsatz. Alles funktioniert wie es soll. Aus SEO-Sicht wird der content einwandfrei erfasst und in den SERP`s ausgegeben. Auch ein internen Linkaufbau ist möglich durch verknüpfen mit ausgewählten Produkt.

Wir sind gewechselt von Joomla auf Shopware und doch einigermaßen verwöhnt was Komponenten angeht. Gerade die BLOG Komponente ist für uns sehr wichtig.
Wir haben uns für dieses BLOG Plugin entschieden, nicht weil es in der ersten Version so umfangreiche Funktionen hat. Vielmehr lag die Entscheidung bei der Stabilität des Plugins. Am Anfang war das Plugin doch recht Rudimentär, doch mittlerweile sind so viele Möglichkeiten hinzugekommen, das wir froh sind uns für das Plugin entschieden zu haben. Stabil, Funktionell, Seriös. Danke.
Als Wunsch wäre noch eine Downloadmöglichkeit für PDF Formulare für den Leser perfekt.

Important: when updating to version 1.1.0 be sure to delete the caches under Settings / System / Caches & Indexes) and rebuild the SEO index! To do this, simply click all three buttons in succession (clear cache, warm up, indexes). Depending on the number of products in the store, this may take some time.

Install + activate app as usual
The blog management can be found in the menu under Content / Blog
Under "Settings - Extensions - Blog Categories" categories can be created (optional)
Under "Settings - Extensions - Blog Authors" authors can be created (optional)
Create layout in experience world, add block element ("Blog", in category "Text & Image"), if necessary still adjust block settings
Optional: create layout (landing page) and assign it as individual CMS page in app settings
The RSS feed is available from the url /blog.rss
In your own derived templates, the optional free text field can be output under post.translated.custom

This plugin uses timed functions therefore it's important for the caching mechanism to work properly. As default Shopware should empty cached contents after 2 hours. Please check if this works properly within your shop.
