About the Extension

Product Badges lets you create fully customizable product badges and labels for your Shopware store. Whether you need promotional stickers, "New" labels, discount indicators, out-of-stock warnings, or top-seller highlights — this plugin covers it all with powerful automation.

Six Badge Types

• Standard — Manually assign badges to specific products, categories, manufacturers, or dynamic product streams
• Global — Automatically displayed on every product across your store based or rules
• Discount — Automatically appears only on products with active discounts
• New — Automatically shown on recently added products based on release date (configurable number of days)
• Out of Stock — Automatically displayed when a product is out of stock, with separate parent/variant stock checking
• Top Seller — Automatically shown on products marked as top sellers in Shopware

Flexible Placement System

Place badges exactly where you need them. Each badge can be independently configured for product detail pages and listing pages:

• Image overlay — Positioned directly on the product image with two independent slots (left and right), each with its own positioning, direction, and styling
• Above/Below Buy Box — On product detail pages, place badges near the purchase section
• Above/Below Product Info — On listing pages, position badges around the product name and price

Angled Ribbon Badges

Create eye-catching corner ribbon badges tilted at 45 degrees. Configure angled display per slot or per individual badge. Angled badges are automatically sorted by text length (shortest closest to the corner) for a clean, layered look. A configurable maximum corner offset keeps ribbons neatly contained within the product image.

Left & Right Image Overlay Slots

Each product image supports two independent badge slots — left and right. Configure each slot separately with its own direction (horizontal, vertical, or angled), positioning offsets, gap, padding, and styling defaults. Assign each badge to either the left or right slot for full control over badge layout on both sides of the product image.

Smart Assignment

Assign badges to products in multiple ways — directly to individual products, to entire categories (with inheritance), to manufacturers, or via dynamic product streams. Combine these with Shopware's Rule Builder for conditional display based on customer groups, cart value, time periods, and more. Use AND/OR logic for complex multi-rule conditions. You can also assign badges directly from product, category, manufacturer, and product stream edit pages — no need to navigate to the badge module.

Rich Styling Options

Every badge is fully customizable with its own colors, font size, padding, border radius, line height, and backdrop filter (e.g. frosted glass blur effects with semi-transparent backgrounds). Choose from 460+ built-in SVG icons with configurable size, color, and position (left or right of text). Style settings follow a three-level inheritance: individual badge overrides slot/placement defaults, which override global defaults. All styling uses CSS custom properties, making it easy to integrate with any theme.

CMS Element Integration

Badges render automatically in four CMS elements: image gallery (with full left/right overlay slot support), buy box (above and below), product box, and product slider — no additional configuration required.

Multi-Channel & Multi-Language

Restrict badges to specific sales channels or display them everywhere. Badge texts support full multi-language translations and rich HTML formatting for maximum creative freedom.

• Hide default Shopware badges — A single toggle to hide Shopware's built-in discount %, topseller, and "new" badges when replacing them with custom badges
• Date scheduling — Set active-from and active-to dates for time-limited promotional badges
