Use the extended TinyMCE in Shopware 6. You can add JavaScript, smilies and icons in the description. It also offers media manager integration.

Not compatible with the SW 6.4.10 functionality relative links.

Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass der Kunde den TinyMCE-Editor für eine andere URL hat lizensieren lassen. Das Problem wurde gemeinsam mit Shopware gelöst. Der Kunde hat eine weitere Bewertung erstellt, aber vergessen diese Bewertung hier zu entfernen.

Please install the plugin using the plugin store. After activating it in your shop, you have to setup the TinyMCE API key in order to use the TinyMCE editor.

The plugin configuration can be found in "Settings" -> "Extensions" -> "TinyMCE".

From Shopware 6.6 you have two options to use the TinyMCE - Cloud or Self-Hosted. The default option is "Cloud". You can activate the self-hosted option in the settings.

1. Cloud

First, enter and validate your api key. Read how to get your API key: https://www.tiny.cloud/docs/tinymce/6/rtc-getting-started/#register-for-a-tiny-cloud-api-key

Please note that starting 2024, the TinyMCE Editor Cloud option can only be used with a valid API key. For this reason, you must first store an API key here so that you can continue with the configuration and use of the editor. When your API key is successfully validated, you can continue to configure the editor. Please note that using the cloud version may incur additional costs (see description). The advantage of the cloud version is the ability to use premium features.

2. Self-Hosted

When using the self hosted version, you don't have to enter an API key. The main advantage of the self-hosted option is that there are no restrictions regarding the number of editor loading processes. The self-hosted option has no additional costs at the time of writing.

Toolbar: Customize the editor toolbar to your needs
Spellcheck: Improve your writing by enabling spellcheck
Additional CSS files: Configure additional CSS files to be available in the editor
Relative urls: Make TinyMCE use relative urls
Convert urls: Automatically convert urls

Note on HTML tags: As of Shopware version 6.5, content from the text editors (Normal Editor or TinyMCE) is sanitized more heavily due to security standards. As a result, many HTML tags are removed and are no longer visible in the storefront. Shopware has built in a way to allow the HTML tags.
