About the Extension

Purpose of the Plugin

This plugin allows cookies, tracking services and associated content to be controlled based on the customer’s consent. Non-functional cookies and scripts are only permitted or executed after the corresponding consent has been given. The plugin therefore extends Shopware’s standard cookie functionality and supports transparent management of cookie consent.

Automatically Detect and Manage Cookies

The plugin automatically detects previously unknown cookies from the shop domain and makes them available for further processing in the Administration. Publicly known cookies and services can automatically be added to the cookie notice. Custom cookies and cookie groups can also be created with individual titles, descriptions, providers and expiration periods.

Flexibly Manage Consent

Customers can enable or disable complete cookie groups or individual cookies. Additional buttons can also be provided to allow direct consent to all cookies or exclusively functional cookies. Existing cookie settings can be reopened and adjusted at any time.

Load Scripts and External Content Only After Consent

Custom scripts and external JavaScript files can be linked to a cookie and executed only after consent has been given. Content such as images, iFrames or external resources can also be configured so that it is loaded only after the corresponding consent has been granted. Until then, a custom information message can be displayed instead.

Customize the Cookie Notice

The cookie notice can be displayed either as a classic banner or as a modal window. Texts, colors, buttons, button order and button widths can be customized. The privacy policy and additional CMS pages can also be linked directly in the notice.

Support Google Consent Mode V2 and Google Tag Manager

The plugin supports Google Consent Mode V2 and allows consent information to be transferred to Google Tag Manager. It is possible to define which consent signals and cookie information are provided in the data layer.

Optionally Analyze Cookie Consent

The separately available “Cookie Statistics” in-app purchase can be used to evaluate how visitors interact with the cookie notice. Different types of consent are recorded and displayed clearly in the Administration for a freely selectable analysis period.

Die Dokumentation zur Installation des Plugin ist sehr strukturiert aufgebaut und leicht zu verstehen. Trotzdem hat sich bei unseren Umbau der Copy&Paste-Fehlerteufel eingeschlichen. Das Acris Team war zügig zur Stelle und hat sich erfolgreich auf die Fehlersuche begeben, tlw. sogar am Wochenende. Echt super! Jetzt funktioniert wieder alles wie es soll.

Dickes Lob an das Entwicklerteam von ACRIS und den sehr freundlichen, kompetenten und zudem schnellen Support! Wir hatten sozusagen ein Nadel im Heuhaufen Problemchen mit einer GA4 - und dieser Erweiterung, das identifiziert und ausgemerzt wurde. Vielen Dank an das Acris-Team,
grundsätzlich funktioniert die automatische Erkennung der Cookies richtig gut. Nur bei einem mal hat es ein Cookie eines Drittabnieter-Plugins nicht erkannt. Da haben wir wirklich lange gesucht. Dank des außerordentlich guten Supports von ACRIS und mehreren Mitarbeitern bei Euch haben wir das nun endlich lösen können.

Super Arbeit und gerne weiter von uns empfohlen!

Wir hatten ein Problem gemeldet, dass bei 404-Seiten der Cockie Hinweis immer wieder auftaucht und sich nicht wegclicken lässt. Es dauerte nicht mal 24 Stunden, bis ein fehlerbehebendes Update 4.3.3 veröffentlicht wurde - obwohl wir uns zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr befanden.

Das ist mal ein wirklich sensationell schneller und kompetenter Service. Supergut!

Will non-functional cookies be active in the store before the user accepts them?

No. Non-functional cookies do not become active until the user clicks "Accept cookies". Before cookies are prevented by the plugin in the shop according to the EU Cookie Policy.

Which cookies are set by the plugin itself in my shop?

The following cookies are set by the plugin itself:

* acris_cookie_acc (cookie of the plugin)
* cookie-permission (Shopware Standard Cookie)
* acris_cookie_landing_page (Saves the landing page for later use with tracking tools)
* acris_cookie_referrer (Saves the referrer for later use with tracking tools)
* acris_cookie_first_activated (Saves which cookies have already been accepted by the user for the first time)

The button "Accept Cookies" should be hidden. With which setting can I do this?

The button "Accept cookies" cannot be hidden for reasons of functionality. This button ensures that the user(s)* accept(s) the cookies selected in the privacy settings. If the button were to be hidden, he/she would no longer be able to make a selection and this function must be available. Alternatively the button Text in the text module administration can be renamed to "Accept selected cookies" (text module acrisCookieConsent.acceptOnlyFunctionalButton).

How can I find out which cookie is an unknown cookie ID?

Basically, we recommend that you always first take a closer look at the plug-ins you are using. These often set cookies, which can then be easily titled. Furthermore, Google can also help with publicly known cookies. If the cookies cannot be identified, we recommend naming them in case of doubt, assigning them to a group but leaving them inactive. Cookies can also be set by bots or by browsers, they do not necessarily have to come from the system itself.

My shop has identified new cookies that are not automatically assigned - what should I do?

The cookies found in the shop can come from the following sources:

* Third party plugin
* Embedded script on the page directly or via TagManager
* An unwanted bot sets a cookie.

So please check your extensions and included scripts in the shop first. If you can't assign the cookies, I would recommend you either delete them and check if they reappear, or name them, assign them to a group and leave them inactive in case of doubt. So they will not be reported again, will not be shown in the cookie hint and will be blocked in the shop.

New cookies are constantly being found. How can I handle them?

The automatic cookie recognition can be deactivated in the plugin settings. The following applies: As long as no new trackings, scripts, plugins, etc. are integrated, no relevant new cookies will appear with high probability. When integrating a new service, we recommend to activate the automatic cookie recognition for a short time and test the shop for new cookies. To do so, simply test various shop functions in the storefront.

Have further settings to be made so that the additional Google Consent Mode signal is sent to Google?

Yes, adjustments must be made in the Google Tag Manager so that the data layer variables sent are read correctly. (see documentation in the plugin description)
