With version 2.0, the configurator takes the user experience in the admin area to a new level. The completely modernized and redesigned interface enables even faster, more intuitive and more efficient creation of configurations.

The highlights of version 2.0:

Styling options in the admin area The configurator can now be flexibly adapted to the corporate design of the store. Colors, fonts, spacing and more can be configured individually - on three levels: globally for the entire store, specifically for an individual configuration or specifically for individual fields and groups.

Dynamic content with configurator values Configurator values can now be used directly in labels, description texts, info texts and validation messages. This enables even more individual and user-friendly configuration experiences.

Global calculations Complex calculations can now be created centrally and reused in any number of configurations. Ideal for central pricing logic or recurring calculation rules.

Configurator in modal window The configuration can now optionally be displayed in a modal window - for seamless integration into existing page layouts.

New field types Heading & description textWith the new field types, configurations can be structured even more clearly and visually enhanced.

Important: Version 2.0 is available from Shopware 6.7.

Update information:

The previous light layout mode is no longer available. To set the light mode yourself, the following steps are necessary. Call up the global styling tab, then make the following settings:

1. configurator box > background > background color: transparent

   2nd Configurator box > Frame > Frame thickness: 0

3. configurator box > Frame > Inner spacing (all fields)> 0

Three new functions for field groups:

-Field groups can now also be displayed as an accordion. This means that only the active group is ever expanded. This provides an even better overview for extensive configurations

- An automatic counter can be activated so that the field groups are automatically numbered consecutively

- If field groups are displayed as boxes, a Next button can be displayed. This only becomes active if all validations of the fields in the group are successful. Clicking on the button automatically jumps to the next group

Other new functions:

- Previously, the formatted date of the user, in the respective language, was always saved in the date field. It was therefore not possible to calculate time differences between two date fields. From now on, the date in the date field will also be saved as a seconds timestamp. This means that time differences can now also be calculated
