Configuration Guide – Stone & Water – Plugin Update Manager

Installation

1. Upload the ZIP file under Extensions → My Extensions or manually extract it to custom/plugins/StawUpdateAll/
2. Activate the plugin via console:

1. Reload the administration — the menu entry Plugin Update Manager appears under Extensions

Performing a Manual Update

1. Open the page — all installed plugins are loaded automatically and checked for new versions
2. Plugins with available updates are highlighted and pre-selected
3. Enable the Backup before update slider to create an automatic ZIP backup before each update
4. Use the checkboxes to select or deselect individual plugins
5. Click Update selected — each plugin is backed up and updated in sequence
6. After completion, a result modal shows per-plugin status and cache information

Managing Backups

1. Click the arrow next to a plugin to expand the backup list
2. The indigo badge shows the number of existing backups
3. Restore: Click Restore — a confirmation prompt appears. Before restoring, an additional safety backup of the current state is created automatically
4. Delete: Click Delete — a confirmation prompt is shown before the backup is permanently removed
5. Backups are stored on the server under var/staw-update-all/backups/{PluginName}/

Setting Up Auto-Update

1. In the lower Auto-Update Settings area, set the desired time and click Save
2. Click the ⟳ icon next to each plugin in the table to enable auto-update — the icon changes to indigo with a border
3. Alternatively, use Enable all to activate all plugins at once
4. The built-in scheduled task checks every 15 minutes whether the configured time has been reached
5. At the set time, a backup is automatically created for each enabled plugin with an available update, followed by the update itself
6. The result of the last auto-update is displayed in the settings row: date, time, and number of successful or failed updates

Scheduled Task Requirements

The auto-update task requires a running message worker. On most hosting environments, this is already handled by the Shopware cron job. If not:

Filter Views

Use the tabs at the top to filter the list:

• All: Shows all installed plugins
• Updates available: Only plugins with a new version
• With backups: Only plugins that have at least one backup

The tab counters update automatically after each action.

Pagination

For shops with many plugins, pagination is displayed automatically. The page size can be adjusted via the dropdown at the bottom right (10, 25, 50 or 100 entries). The selected page size is permanently stored in the database.

Notes

• Always create a full server backup in addition to plugin backups before major updates
• Plugin backups only save the files of the respective plugin, not database changes
• All settings are stored in the Shopware system configuration and persist through cache clears
• The interface detects the admin language automatically and switches between German and English
